Over the weekend I was challenged by my partner to make some thank you cards with a Cat theme. I immediately decided to use my favourite punch - the cat punch! However, there isn't a co-ordinating stamp set for this punch at present so I had to get my creative cap on to decide what to do with it.
I wanted to create a card with a great background that didn't take anything away from the cat - so I decided to get my Brusho powder out and have some fun!
To achieve the Brusho background, I used an empty stamp case and a spritzer - I added a mixture of Brusho colours, spritzed again and left to dry.
I wanted to add a bit of glitz to the background so I decided to use our brand new Shimmer paints (available in the Autumn/Winter catalogue). A little goes a long way with this paint, I only needed a small amount on my paintbrush which I 'swooshed' in random places on the card.
Finally, I punched out a cat and added some shimmer to him too.
I added a 'Thanks' sentiment and mounted on Poppy Parade cardstock and there you have it - a Catty Thank You Card.
