Sponging Fun with Tropical Chic

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while since my blog post - August has been very busy for me so far, I've been lucky enough to spend some wonderful time with family, here in the UK and on holiday in France. I hope you're all having a great Summer too!

I wanted to share with you today but Coffee and Card design from a couple of weeks ago. I brought out my current favourite stamp set, Tropical Chic and added some of our lovely bright 2018-2020 in colour inks. I designed two cards for the group - one with an asymmetric design which is really bright and colourful. For the other card I used a sponging technique to get slightly more muted colours. For this technique, I  picked up some ink on my sponge and dabbed it lightly directly onto the mounted stamp. I then did the same thing with a different colour ink and overlapped the sponging on the stamp slightly. This gave a lighter ink effect with some colour mixing. I finished both cards off with a punched sentiment.

Here are the finished cards:

I hope you like them as much as I do!
