Fun with alcohol and re-inkers!

Hi Everyone!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend a team training weekend in Birmingham with lots of other lovely demo's. Part of that weekend is to make a card for everyone attending, which you then swap with them and come away with lots of lovely cards!

I must admit, I left my card a bit to the last minute - if I'm ever in a bit of a rush, I try to focus on one stamp set and pick a couple of colours and take it from there.

When making cards for other demo's, I like to try and use a new tip or technique - I find it's a really good way to share ideas with everyone.

A while ago, on a whim, I'd ordered some first aid alcohol from Amazon. This is a surprisingly good item to have in your craft kit - it's amazing what you can do with it! I also had some empty 'dropper' bottles, so I decided to mix some alcohol with some re-inker colours and drop away randomly, to make my background!

I chose Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron as the colours for this card - I just love the combination. After creating the background on shimmery white card, I used the 'Abstract Impressions' stamp set to make the flowers. This is one of my favourite stamp sets at the moment - I love how you don't have to line up the stamps exactly, it's so forgiving and looks great!

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and punched out - added a bit of copper wire and job done!

This was the finished card - I had to make 37 of these, and I hope everyone who received one, liked it!

All products used are available to buy in my shop. I'd love to hear what you think of the card!

Have a great crafty day!
